A contiguous ski area
Wagrain is part of the huge Ski Amadé with 860 km of slopes, all on the same ski pass. The ski system in Wagrain is based on either the “beginner mountain” Grafenberg or the Flying Mozart lift, from where you can explore slopes of all categories in the vast ski area. In 2013, the G-LINK opened, which mean you don’t have to take the ski bus between Griesskareck and Grafenberg. It has been revolutionary for Wagrain. The ski area is now completely contiguous. If you are coming from St. Johan and wants to go to Flachau, you now don’t have to spend your time waiting for the bus and then going to the valley, you just go with the G-LINK. This means that you can take some long day trips, where you spend the time efficiently skiing and getting around on the wonderful, well-groomed slopes, for which the area is known.
